- How did she start Breakups to Makeup? Angelique started as a makeup artist 20 years ago. She started BTM in 2013 and launched it in 2015. And yes, there was an actual breakup involved. Her job as a makeup artist got her through. Then the mantras started coming to her…” Love Raised Me, Lipstick Saved Me”

- Angelique is a smart businesswoman, she’s got her slogans trademarked and copyrighted. She also knew in the early days of Instagram how to make something Instagrammable. Angelique and Tiffany breakdown creative and business whole process A to Z.

- Everybody loved the clutches immediately and wanted MORE. Did somebody say t-shirts?

- Breakups to Makeup showcased The Makeup Show in Orlando for the first time before it got into NYC (where Sephora ultimately discovered her). Everything sold out. Kudos to Shelly at TMS! The community is so incredible there.

- When Breakups to Makeup launched in Sephora, Angelique had just welcomed her son 2 months earlier.

- ANOTHA ONE, the QVC milestone. In June 2020, Breakups to Makeup officially hit QVC! There’s something eternally iconic about selling your stuff on TV. Angelique shares the WHOLE process from auditioning to going live.

- You can always guarantee every makeup artist will have their trusty Züca by their side. https://www.zuca.com/business-and-beauty

- Angelique got some amazing advice, “You just gotta leave it on the table.” Know your worth and know when an opportunity is meant to be there.

- What was filming for QVC like during quarantine?

- When the pandemic hit, her business came to a stop. Then some other brilliant ideas came…My Makeup Mastermind and the Hey Glowfriend Podcast.

- Hey Glowfriend: Balancing being a mom and a badass multi-passionate entrepreneur AND talking about it.

- Angelique’s advice: Always be true to yourself. Your brand is YOU. You are the magic.

- 3 things Angelique would tell any aspiring entrepreneur: Get administratively together (lawyer, trademarks, paperwork, patents, etc), if it’s an idea you can’t go a day without thinking about- DO IT! (don’t forget why you are doing what you’re doing), and you gotta dedicate time to progress (even 10 min a day).
